i have been scanning my photos into my computer in the hopes of putting them on a CD-ROm...i've got a burner, but have no idea what the best way to do this would be...rather than have them as just files to be clicked on, i'd like to do something more elaborate with thumbnails, text, etc.
is there any kind of software that exists for this purpose? any suggestions would be appreciated...

When I do mine I use firstly Photoshop to make contact sheets and give the names and secondly I include a slideshow, I have one if you need it. Or this can be done by autorunning an html page with a java script slide show, too slow for work on the internet but wonderful for cd. I have the scripts if you need them

Or you can go to www.nonags.com or www.tucows.com or a similar site and download software to organise your photos and set up slideshows etc for you.
