I've searched the archives on this, and got alot of answers, many
conflicting. What are your opinions of the latest versions of the
Gretag EyeOne vs Monaco Optix for using on a) a cheap Dell CRT and b)
an Apple Cinema 20" (my next purchase, although I use a PC)? I would
be using the basic ~$230 units without any additional software. Thanks.

I can't offer you advice on either of the items you mention. However, I
can say that they Spyder 2 does well from my perspective and I recommend
it to anybody. If you are pro selling a lot of prints, I might pay more
for a pro model, but otherwise, I find the Spyder 2 extremely positive.

I have been using Gretag Eye-One (for both monitors and printers) for some
time now, and found it to be excellent. I cannot understand how anybody in
this hobby/business can do without it. It is expensive, but, in my view
worth every single penny/cent/etc. you spend on it (you get what you paid
for). Support from Switzerland is marvelous. Recommend it wholeheartedly.

Interesting. Has anyone compared Huey to the Gretag or Monaco?
